How to Hide Open Bar?

By default, SideNotes is hidden on the right side of a screen. The only visible thing is its Open Bar: a transparent vertical bar. When you click it, SideNotes shows up. If you open the app using keyboard shortcut only, or by clicking the menubar icon, you can hide the Open Bar.

SideNotes offers 3 options for Open Bar visibility. You will find it in Settings > General > Hide Open Bar.

You can choose:

• never (default option)
• when mouse is inactive – hides open bar after a few seconds of mouse cursor inactivity. This option is probably the best for most users
• always (available in Hot Side and Menubar Icon modes)
