WindowKeys 3.0 — Major Update Now Available

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Apptorium Releases WindowKeys 3.0

Zielona Góra, Poland, June 2025 — Apptorium today announced the release and immediate availability of WindowKeys 3.0, a major update to its macOS utility that brings system window tiling fully under user control. Originally designed to solve limitations with macOS window-tiling shortcuts on third-party keyboards, WindowKeys has now evolved into a powerful command center for macOS window management.

At the heart of WindowKeys 3.0 is the enhanced Tiling Panel, which allows users to access and control all native macOS window-tiling actions in one simple interface — eliminating the need to memorize dozens of keyboard shortcuts.

Key New Features in WindowKeys 3.0:

  • Move Windows Between Displays
Users can now move application windows across multiple screens using keyboard shortcuts — whether on external monitors or MacBook displays.
  • Repeat Last Action for Each App
WindowKeys remembers the last tiling action performed for each application, allowing users to instantly repeat previous layouts with a single keypress.
  • Redesigned Shortcut Editor
The new Shortcut Editor introduces a sidebar with categorized tiling actions, making it easier to navigate as more shortcuts are added.
  • Tiling Panel Bottom Bar
A new bottom bar in the Tiling Panel displays both the action description and its assigned shortcut, providing quick reference and easy editing.

“With version 3.0, we’ve shifted the focus to expand how users can control window tiling — adding new features like window moving support and repeating last actions, while still allowing full shortcut customization for power users,” said Marcin Krzywonos, founder of Apptorium.

System Requirements

WindowKeys requires macOS Sequoia (15.1) or later.

Pricing and Availability

WindowKeys remains completely free.
