How to Clear Formatting of Selected Text?

If you pasted text with formatting you do not want, or applied bold or italic by accident, you can strip all formatting in one go.

Select the text and click the eraser icon in the Quick Formatting Toolbar that appears above the selection.

Alternatively, click the Aa button and choose Clear Formatting.

You can also press ⌃⌥backspace to clear formatting directly.
